The Chinese word 通知 means “notice” or “announcement”. It is commonly used in formal settings, such as workplaces or schools, to convey important information to a group of people. For example, a boss might send a 通知 to all employees about an upcoming meeting, or a school might issue a 通知 to parents regarding a change in the academic calendar.
